Powder Coating

Powder Coating

Shapes offers superior powder coating finishes for all of our products.

Powder Coating is a dry finishing process where electrostatically charged particles are sprayed onto mill finish aluminum that is electrically charged for powder adhesion. The powder coated aluminum is then baked in an oven to cure the powder into a solid coating, which has double the thickness and hardness of an acrylic or enamel liquid paint, to produce a far more enduring and scratch resistant coating. The powder particles melt together to create a smooth continuous permanent bond to the aluminum.

Durability

Powder coating provides a smooth, durable finish, which is more resistant to chips, scratches, fading, rust, and corrosion than other finishes making it a very long- lasting and low maintenance finish.

Environmentally Friendly

Powder coating is more environmentally friendly than wet paint because it contains no solvents or VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds).

Color Options

Our standard colors are black, white and bronze, but we can also do custom colors or color matches for an upcharge.
